Meet the Owner

Krishan R. Dawson

Owner, Chief Executive Officer

Krishan was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan to two teen parents, one of which has resided in Georgia for the last 16 years. In 2023, Krishan took one of her most grand leaps yet and relocated with her two children to Smyrna, Georgia to be closer to her father whom has conquered a ___ of health challenges. She is the eldest of 7 siblings (5 brothers and 1 sister). She recalls the dynamic of her childhood being much like a toy she used to play with – “colored sand art”. Colorful, Complex and Fascinating. Even at a young age, she had seen and experienced so many different things. Some good, some bad —- some really bad. Collectively, it all molded her to be the relentless ball of passion she was then and still is today. Her entire childhood is characterized by moments driven by her innate nature to lead, thrive, nurture and teach.

At the age of 11 Krishan picked up an extreme interest in music and went on to play the bass clarinet for 10 years. She often says music played a role in saving her life. As a musician she built a long list of accomplishments that she’s extremely proud of — some of which include graduating from Detroit School for the Fine & Performing Arts and performing on the stage of the infamous Carnegie Hall in New York City.

In 2007, Krishan embarked on a journey that undoubtedly pivoted her entire world and solidified her mark as the first woman in her mother’s family to graduate from college with a bachelor’s degree. Krishan describes her college experience as that of an earthquake –shaking and reshaping everything she thought she knew about life. She attended Michigan State University (MSU) in East Lansing, Michigan — ranked one of the top 30 public universities in the United States. Although the university’s student body was extremely diverse – only 8% of the population was African American and less than 1 quarter of the students were from families considered to be low-income, which Krishan most closely identified with. On the alternate spectrum, more than 70% of the students were from affluent families and other ethnic backgrounds. This dynamic alone – shifted the entire trajectory for her future. While at MSU, her world grew 10 times over as she was exposed to aspects of life she never knew existed. Her journey to the finish-line was a long one. Ironically, she counts that as one of the most rewarding parts of her experience. In comparison to the traditional 4-5 years it takes to complete a bachelors degree – it would be 12 years before Krishan got the opportunity to officially confirm her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Health, Society & Psychology. Unlike most of her close friends and peers, Krishan married, started a family and began her professional career prior to graduating. This largely prolonged her tenure in college – along with other major life changing events she gives account of, such as, long term hospitalization, homelessness, and losing her eyesight; a prognosis that doctors suspected would be irreversible, thankfully for her, it was not. Instead, this instance fueled her beyond imagine. She recalls a special moment where her then college advisor (Betty Sanford) recommended that she take some time off from school to rest and recover to which Krishan responded, “I cant. I have to keep pushing.” While grabbing Krishan’s arm to help guide her to her next class, she said “Krishan you are one of the most resilient individuals I’ve ever met. Just know it’s okay to step off the planet whenever you need to. It’ll be waiting for you in the same place you left it when you get back.” Today, Krishan carries that same message with her everywhere she goes. In fact, it’s that very message that replenishes her with the willpower needed to push forward when things get tough and, the wisdom to know that even the strongest of runners – must pause to catch their breath. Without labor, Krishan injects this same passion into everyone she encounters –both young and old.

As a professional, Krishan has found the greatest reward in inspiring growth and change in the world around her. It’s no wonder why she has spent the last 14 years of her career serving in human centered industries such as business consulting, education and healthcare. She boasts years of experience in leadership, organizational transformation, healthcare quality, operational strategy, and business development.

While navigating throughout her career, Krishan grew an extreme passion for improving the landscape of healthcare and the disparities that exist in many communities across the United States as a result of: (1) Poverty, (2) Educational inequality, (3) Inadequate access to care and (4) Insufficient quality of care. In 2022, there were 26 million people in America that lacked access to adequate care. If we remove 20 years, Krishan was a part of that number. This fuels her desire to make an impact all the more. With the hopes of reducing gaps in access to care – In 2023, Krishan committed to making a footprint of her own by founding ClearVue Transport, a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation company, serving residents in the state of Georgia.
